As a member of Belmont University’s pioneer class of architecture, I have had the privilege of a truly unique introduction to design and the creative process. Through this journey, I have not only deepened my understanding of the built environment and its profound impact on our daily lives but also embraced the continual growth that comes with both education and practice. Guided by faith, I strive to live intentionally, using my creativity, leadership, and organizational skills to create environments that serve, inspire, and uplift others.
My upbringing instilled in me a deep appreciation for creativity and exploration. Raised in a family that valued artistry, resourcefulness, and a do-it-yourself mentality, I was exposed early to the possibilities of creating meaningful spaces. Frequent travel allowed me to witness a variety of architectural styles and cultures, broadening my perspective and igniting my passion for design—a testament to life-long and life-wide learning. Growing up as a competitive dancer, I cultivated skills like discipline, collaboration, and time management—qualities that seamlessly translate to the studio environment, where teamwork and dedication are key.
Since joining the O’More College of Architecture and Design in the fall of 2021, I’ve experienced exponential growth in my creative abilities and a deepening love for the arts. My studies have also reinforced a foundational belief: that architecture, much like life, is a process. Just as the design process evolves through exploration, iteration, and reflection, so does my understanding of vocation. This evolution has taught me to embrace uncertainty, knowing that clarity often emerges over time.
Through personal reflection and academic exploration, I have come to see my vocational discernment as both rooted and fluid. While my path may shift, certain constants remain: a commitment to service (access and equity work), a grounding in faith, and a passion for organization and routine. These values guide me, whether I’m creating a physical space or navigating the complexities of life. I firmly believe that we learn as much from our failures as from our successes, and I aim to celebrate both as part of my journey.
Moving forward, I am dedicated to living intentionally and remaining open to growth. By combining reflection, accountability, and a willingness to adapt, I hope to design not only spaces but also a career and a life that inspire and uplift others.
